Voltaren Gel Gel is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for the relief of pain, swelling, and inflammation. It is most commonly used for the relief of pain associated with arthritis, backache, sprains and strains, headache, migraine headaches, period pain, neuralgia (nerve-related pain) and other strains. Voltaren Gel is formulated to effectively reduce pain and inflammation and to provide relief for pain associated with surgery, dental procedures, sports injuries, and general conditions.
Voltaren Gel should be taken orally, preferably within the first few hours of eating. Swallow the gel form as a whole without crushing, splitting, or breaking. Do not take a supplement with other ingredients within the range of the product.
Adults: The recommended dose is one 50 mg tablet (preferably 5, 10, or 20 mg) taken with water, with or without food. The recommended starting dose is one 10 mg tablet (preferably 5 mg) taken 2 hours before the procedure. The maximum dose is one 25 mg tablet (preferably 10 mg) taken every 12 hours or one 100 mg tablet (preferably 10 mg) every 8 hours. The maximum dose is one 50 mg tablet (preferably 5 mg) taken 2 hours before the procedure. The dose may be increased up to one 100 mg tablet (preferably 10 mg) every 8 hours. Do not take a break if you have pain in or around the area of the procedure.
The most common side effects are headaches, back pain, muscle aches, indigestion, nasal congestion, and indigestion/dizziness. In rare cases, more serious side effects may occur, such as allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling, shortness of breath, and difficulty breathing), chest pain, or severe dizziness. If any of these side effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Do not stop using the product without first talking to your doctor. In case you experience any of the following side effects persist or worsen, or you experience any other side effects, contact your doctor: chest pain, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, swelling/tingling of the face/tongue/throat, trouble swallowing, dizziness, feeling faint or lightheaded, chest pain, shortness of breath, fast/irregular heartbeat, trouble breathing.
Before taking Voltaren Gel: Do not take Voltaren Gel if you are allergic to diclofenac, aspirin, aspirin-containing products, aspirin-containing products (eg, ibuprofen) or any other NSAID (eg, aspirin, aspirin-containing products, aspirin-containing products), without first talking to your doctor or pharmacist. Do not take the medicine with milk, cream, patch, ointment, ointment, or topical antibiotic or anti-inflammatory treatment before starting this medicine. Voltaren Emulgel is used to treat inflammation of tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints due to trauma (eg. sports injuries, sprains and strains), soft tissue rheumatism and localised rheumatic conditions, eg. bursitis, and for aches and pains, back, neck, and shoulder pain.
Diclofenac diethylammonium 11.6 mg/g.
Rub gently into the affected area 3 or 4 times daily. Do not use for more than 2 weeks unless under medical advice.
Do not use: on children under 12 years, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have an allergy to diclofenac, aspirin or any other NSAID. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you have:asthma that you know is aggravated by the use of analgesics; ulcers, bleeding or any other serious disorder of the stomach or bowel; severe kidney disease or you are taking any other medicines.
For daily use only.
